Image for 6-6-11 - The Trunk

On the commute home, I found myself behind an antique car, a lovely old thing, obviously well-loved by it's owner. I focused in on the big, black trunk hanging off the back of the car and experienced a mini-epiphany. Trunk! A car trunk was at one time an actual trunk! Wow. What can I say. I'm easily amused.

OK HW

  1. Ha, that's true -- I was just reading about words that have lost their original meaning -- back when records came at 78 rpm, you would need several to fit one set of recordings on and they came in a pack with an accordion-like file to hold the records and it was called an album, which is why LPs were called albums from then on -- something I never really thought of, but there you go -- Zehdah!
